Getting in the mood for Fall and Halloween
The picture of the Ghost in the Hall is from a series I photographed to go with several Ghost stories I'd written. They were published in a local magazine. You can see them here.
Some of the affiliates I work with are gearing up for autumn! (and I'm okay with that.) Today marks 60 days until Halloween. There are only 31 days until the Autumn Equinox on Saturday, September 22 and finally, there are only 12 days until Labor Day.
The seasons are upon us.
Today, I'm sharing some neat items from Victorian Trading Company and AhaLife. (Also, ahem, I want you to know that both Dorothy and I accept gifts.)
The first thing is a PERFECT gift for your favorite blogger. It's really more of a holiday present but I'm sure it'll set out before then so buy it this autumn. It’s 79.95. Silver-plated bracelet with antique typewriter keys. Each bracelet is as unique as each blogger. No two are the same. It will be available on August 24th so you’re getting in right on time. It has a 5 star review. Don't wait until Christmas.
I really want one of these hats.
I shall wear it everywhere this fall. They come in black, white and red. I understand some autumn and winter brides are getting the white one. Wouldn't it be gorgeous? I love it in both but I think for autumn, I want the black one. It has a nose veil of English Merry Widow netting in front and a tulle bow that falls into a long, floaty train in the back. A delicate black rose adorns the front. Its shape is the classic Equestrian Dressage style from the genre known as “Suiter” hats. The standard Dressage hat can go for up to $250.00. The price on this one is a mere $59.95. Equestrienne Hat. I’m SOOO getting one of these!
I’ll wear the hat when I go "calling" and I’ll take a hostess gift in this striking Wine Bag. It’s beautifully lettered and appropriately decorated. Poison. For $9.99, that's cheap for Poison and you can’t go wrong with a gift of poison. If you do a search, they also have a Sterling Silver and Garnet Poison Ring for $39.95. (But you probably already have one of those.)
Can you imagine the look on a Trick or Treater’s face when you offer candy from this gorgeous Poison Apothecary Jar? Perhaps while pouring a nip from these Potion Bottles? You might want to get a fashionable Witch Hat to don whilst handing out the goods. It’s called the Poison Ivy Hat. So fun! (Halloween is supposed to be fun and scary, right? Don't scare the tiny ones, though. Be nice to the tots.)
Also, I might have to get this Batty Headband. This thing made me laugh. Bats dip and seem to fly around your head. Bats in the belfry much? An Old bat? A crazy Batty lady? It's only $14.99!
Finally, the steps to the front porch might look nice with two of these glowing Filigree Pumpkins. It's 8.5 inches so it's not too tiny. It's metal and is safe. No open flame. It operates via LED lights on batteries. (not included naturally) It's on sale for $29.99.
And then....after the festivities are all over, pamper your witchy self with a Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. It's got all the good stuff plus a dose of pure Pumpkin. You'll smell and look as good as pie.
Thanks for reading!
